RECEIVES $5,000 GRANT FROM
FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK FOUNDATION
(Honolulu, Hawaii, March 29, 2007) – KAMP Hawaii has been given a grant of $5,000 by The First Hawaiian Bank Foundation, the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank, according to an announcement by Don Horner, First Hawaiian Bank’s president and chief executive officer. The funds will be used to support KAMP Hawaii’s Life Mentoring Programs. KAMP Hawaii-“Life Mentoring Programs” board of directors and staff would like to extend a big mahalo to First Hawaiian Bank Foundation for their generous gift. This gift will enable KAMP Hawaii to expand its current operation to the Leeward Coast said Aaron Kamau, Executive Director. Kids at Risk Mentoring Program (KAMP) Hawaii is a non profit organization that focuses on disadvantaged and at-risk youth in our communities. We are currently working in conjunction with local public schools, charter schools and private organizations and over 6200 students. With over 19 years experience, the KAMP Hawaii staff and programs have a proven track record in mentoring at risk youth on O’ahu. First Hawaiian Bank Foundation is the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank. During 2006 the foundation and bank contributed $3.4 million to more than 360 non-profit organizations.
