What a great way to start off the Outdoor Outreach Program with our Special Needs Students participating in our one night two day program. This was a very special campout for us because several of our high school students have finished school and are ready for what awaits them. Some of these students have participated with KAMP Hawaii for a number of years. All of the students participated in all of our activities and swimming again was a great hit. Students and teachers from Leilehua H.S., Roosevelt H.S. and Aina Haina Elementary enjoyed forming new friendships and they bonded really well together. Campfire, smores and crab hunting was the highlight of the night. True mentorship at its best was witnessed when the older students helped the younger students cook their breakfast. Bacon, eggs and pancakes was enjoyed by all. We at KAMP Hawaii will really miss those students who have finished their time with us but they do know that they are welcome anytime! See you in the Fall!
