The Outdoor Outreach Program got off to a great start with our special needs students from Aina Haina Elementary, Kalihi Elementary, Roosevelt High School and Leilehua High School taking part in our overnight camp out. The program was filled with new and exciting activities. We had such a wonderful time and look foward to our next camping adventure. Mahalo to all of our Teachers, Chaperones and a special mahalo to our military personnel from Fort Shafter who transported our Kalihi Elementary students to camp.
Our special needs students at Kaimuki High School participated in a day camp that took place at their school tailored especially for them. The day camp started right after school and ended into the night with diner and fun for all. Mahalo to Mrs. Tatafu and volunteers for making this a very special camp for our students.
KAMP Hawaii will be extremely busy this spring with 8 weeks of camping and 1 day camp. We are looking forward to a great spring campout that will attract over 1200 campers. The campers will get a quality program with a healthy lifestyle message attached. See you all in camp.
