A Studio Vigilante Development.
The pursuit of the following principles.
"Thank you for your vision and love for those that need good mentors and positive opportunities in life that will help to shape them for the real world."
"As a teacher I am always looking for programs that are beneficial and one that supports what I teach in the classroom in preparing my students for the real world. The KAMP Hawaii program is such a program. My students are very excited to be enrolled in KAMP Hawaii. My students enjoy this program because they feel a sense of accomplishment and success. Most of my students do not have opportunities to experience things in life and this is what KAMP Hawaii does.
Billie Lairsey, SPED Teacher - Leilehua High School
KAMP Hawaii focuses on building character through activities that foster sharing and caring besides cooperation and trust. Our students and their classroom teachers no only enjoy the many hands-on experiences, but they enjoy the KAMP Hawaii staff. The staff is exceptional! I've been a part of this staff and their program since 1983 while at Dole Intermediate, Farrington High and Mililani High School. (I hope this program comes to Molokai.) I have been an educator for almost 30 years. My biggest enjoyment as an educator is watching children enjoy learning. KAMP Hawaii programs provides our children with many practical besides humanistic learning experiences; but, throguh its staff's true love and caring for children, our students experience a deep "kind of joy" in learning.
Leighton L. Kawai, Principal - Kilohana Elementary
The KAMP Hawaii program is a valuable program for students with disabilities because the skills they learn are practical life skills; which will help them to learn how to navigate independently in the world.
